Kuki & Maddi
Kuki studied Middle Eastern cultural studies at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków and at Cairo University, so the city’s history and museums are truly her territory. But her real talent lies somewhere else: she knows Cairo from the inside.
She knows where to turn to find a rooftop overlooking the Nile instead of another tourist viewpoint, where to hide from the heat in an old café, and where to eat falafel so good you’ll still be thinking about it long after you return home.
For Maddi, what matters most is the atmosphere of a place - and, above all, its food.
An elegant dinner can be just as perfect as a simple falafel eaten on a colourful plastic chair among locals. She loves observing people, taking photos, and becoming part of the city's everyday rhythm. So much so that she eventually moved to Egypt - and today Cairo is far more than just a stop on her travels.
Here’s how this guide came to life:
a bit of history, a whole lot of vibe, and more amazing food than you can imagine.
